CSV to JSON
CSV to JSON reads a comma-separated file and produces an array of objects, one per row, using the header row as the keys. It handles quoted fields, embedded commas and escaped quotes correctly, which is where most hand-rolled conversions fall apart. The result is ready to feed straight into an API or a script.
How to use CSV to JSON
- Paste CSV text or load a .csv file from your device.
- Press Convert — the header row becomes the keys for every record.
- Review the output; numeric-looking values are converted to numbers where appropriate.
- Copy the JSON or download it as a .json file.
CSV to JSON FAQ
Does it support semicolon- or tab-separated files?
Comma separation is standard for CSV. If your file uses another delimiter, convert it to commas first or export it again as CSV.
Are values kept as strings?
Numbers and booleans are detected and typed; everything else stays a string. Quoted text is never reinterpreted.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Parsing happens locally in your browser — the file is read by the page and never sent anywhere.
