PDF to TXT
PDF to TXT pulls the text out of a document and hands it back as a plain .txt file you can search, edit, translate or paste into anything. It is ideal for quoting a report, feeding a document into another program, or reading a PDF on a device where reflowable text is easier than a fixed page layout.
How to use PDF to TXT
- Choose the PDF whose text you want to extract.
- Press PDF to TXT and let the server read through the document.
- Download the .txt file once processing finishes.
- Open it in any editor — the text is plain, unformatted and ready to reuse.
PDF to TXT FAQ
Will the formatting be kept?
No. You get the raw text, not the layout. Use it when you want the words rather than the appearance — tables come out as sequential lines.
Why did I get very little text back?
The PDF is probably a scan with no text layer. Run OCR PDF first to recognise the characters, then extract the text again.
Can I convert only part of a document?
Extract the pages you need with Split PDF, then convert that smaller file to text.
